A Presentation Lunch celebrating the 2024 knockout competitions was held on Sunday 26th January 2025

It was great to see so many members of the Bowling Association and other friends at our annual Presntation Lunch , held as usual at the Allenburys Sports and Social Club in Ware. The focal point of the afternoon was the presentation of trophies to the winners and runners up of the 2024 knock out competitions. – The pictures here show the trophy presentation made by Tony Duffin the outgoing Secreatry of the EHBA

We have a indoor match against Tye Green Bowls Club in Harlow, Sunday 17^th November 2024   – a 2.30pm start with a meal afterwards

Ray Hodges Memorial Trophy 2024

Wednesday 4th September: Players representing The East Herts Bowling Association and the East Herts Bowls League came together at Hoddesdon & Rye Park Bowls Club to play the annual Ray Hodges Memorial Cup – a friendly match between the two organisations that has been contested for well over a decade.

The competition could not have been any closer with the EHBA winning by a single point. The match, (6 triples teams) drew bowlers from Bowls Clubs from across East Herts.

Both the Bowls League and the Bowls Association would like to say a big thank you to Hoddesdon & Rye Park B.C. for playing host to this fixture. All the people involved on the day to ensure that the event went off without any problems have the fulsome thanks of all the bowlers who took part.

Association Matches:

Essex Vice Presidents at Dunmow Bowls Club on Thursday 22nd August – this has been cancelled by Essex VP’s

The Jack Goff Trophy at Hoddesdon & Rye Park B.C. on Saturday 24th August is going ahead – fancy playing – there might be a couple of places left – contact your delegate

LONDON PARKS: 6-8-24

A very enjoyable afternoon was had playing the London Parks Bowls Association, the matches (all but one!) were closely fought with the LPBA coming away winners 113 points to 81. – The full score sheet can be found here
